Seriously? The kids in this commercial are NOTHING like the cast of the movie. The song is remade into a super peppy pop song. You just don't mess with perfection people.

Bender wouldn't be caught DEAD in anything from JC Penney. And he certainly wouldn't have his hair cut and have BATHED.

And damnit, the nerd didn't wear glasses ON HIS FOREHEAD (He didn't wear glasses at all, actually, we're just supposed to know that uber beautiful boy is Brian because of the glasses). And he also DOESN'T GET THE GIRL!

I thought I was okay with 80s nostalgia. I've changed my mind.
