I'm watching last night (Tuesday's) episode right now. Yay DVR. Jet Li was the guest and while I can't recall actually seeing any of his movies, he was unexpectedly ADORABLE.
The other guest is Belinda Carlisle. And the way Craig Ferguson says her name is damn sexy.
Right now she's singing "Heaven is a Place on Earth" which was one of my favorite songs growing up. Her voice is not nearly as good as it was 20 years ago, but the song is still good. Let's just say I can fill in the slightly off-key version with the one permanently etched in my brain. I can close my eyes and see the video in my mind, that's how much that song meant to me. At 11. or however old I was.
I wanted to BE Belinda Carlisle in the late 80s. A blond, thin, California chick with a perfect nose who had a sexy man in love with her with whom she could writhe around kissing and carressing. Re-watching the video on YouTube, I'm realizing that I was confusing the video for "Heaven on Earth" with the video for "Mad About You." because I kept picturing her on a beach.
Doing a Google Image Search for "Belinda Carlisle" It was odd to see results coming up from a Playboy shoot she did. The photoshop-fu on those is not strong. Seriously. And having seen the "Behind the Music" about The Gogos, and knowing that perfect nose was often coked up doesn't change my wish to have such a cute nose.
